🏫 Specialist School Setting
Mentalia Campus are currently supporting a Specialist School setting in Yorkshire
with the appointment of a Locum Psychologist for an ongoing contract opportunity
starting ASAP.
Applications are welcomed from Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychologists
with experience supporting children and young people within education, mental
health or neurodevelopmental settings.
The successful candidate will work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
supporting students presenting with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD,
SEMH, learning difficulties and associated emotional or behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions within a specialist school environment
- Support students with emotional wellbeing, behavioural and developmental needs
- Contribute to formulation, care planning and student support strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, pastoral teams and wider MDT professionals
- Provide consultation and guidance to education staff where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and professional clinical documentation
Requirements
- HCPC registered Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychologist
- Previous experience within Specialist Education, CAMHS, Paediatrics or SEMH settings desirable
- Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental and emotional wellbeing presentations
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills
- Enhanced DBS required
