We’re working with a well-established specialist education provider in the West
Midlands seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their growing team. This is an
opportunity to work closely with pupils who require specialist support, helping them
develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to thrive both within
education and beyond.
You’ll work collaboratively with teaching staff, families and other healthcare
professionals to assess needs, develop intervention plans and deliver meaningful
therapeutic support that has a lasting impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Assessing the occupational therapy needs of children and young people
- Developing and implementing individualised therapy programmes
- Supporting pupils to maximise independence, participation and engagement
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Providing guidance and training to education staff and families where appropriate
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Passion for improving outcomes for children with additional needs
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team
