A leading independent mental health provider is seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a specialist Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering recovery-focused interventions in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
With an ASAP start available and an ongoing contract on offer, this role would suit an Occupational Therapist looking for either part-time or full-time hours, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.

Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments and formulate person-centred treatment plans.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to service users within a PICU environment.
- Facilitate group and individual sessions aimed at promoting recovery and independence.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and the wider MDT.
- Contribute to discharge planning and risk management processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience within mental health, acute inpatient, PICU, forensic or rehabilitation settings is desirable.
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload within a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to work between three and five days per week.
