Mentalia Locums are currently working with a specialist neurorehabilitation service in Kent to recruit an experienced Interim Head of Therapies on a full-time locum basis.
This is a predominantly leadership-focused position, with approximately 25% clinical duties and 75% operational and strategic responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead and support a multidisciplinary therapy team within a highly regarded neurological rehabilitation setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational oversight to the therapy department.
- Support and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a small clinical caseload (approximately 25%).
- Drive service development, quality improvement, and governance initiatives.
- Participate in a 1 in 3 on-call rota.
Requirements
✔ HCPC registration as either an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist.
✔ Significant leadership and management experience within rehabilitation or neurological services.
✔ Strong understanding of governance, service delivery, and multidisciplinary team management.
✔ Previous experience in a senior therapy leadership role is highly desirable.
✔ Ability to commence at short notice is advantageous.
