Locum Psychologist – Mental Health Rehabilitation

Mentalia Locums is recruiting an HCPC-registered Psychologist to support a specialist Level 2 rehabilitation service in Berkshire.
The service supports male adults with complex mental health needs as they work towards greater independence and a return to community living.
This is a long-term locum position covering maternity leave. The hospital is currently without a psychologist, so you’ll have the opportunity to provide much-needed clinical continuity and keep the psychological service running steadily until the substantive postholder returns.
The role:
- 2–3 days per week
- Flexible working days
- Long-term contract extending well into 2027
- Multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting
- Psychological assessment, formulation and intervention
- Supporting service users with their recovery and transition back into the community
- Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team
You’ll need:
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs
- Strong assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention skills
- Previous rehabilitation or inpatient experience would be beneficial
