Our Private client based in Manchester are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team on a sessional basis, initially for one clinic a month, with scope to increase as the service grows. They are keen to find someone who can become a consistent, familiar face for their patients.
The role
• Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for adults with serious mental illness, alongside general psychiatric presentations
• New patient assessments: 1.5 hours
• Follow-up reviews: 1 hour
• Formulating diagnoses, treatment plans and prescribing plans
How you’re supported:
• Every patient is triaged in advance, and initial investigations are completed before they are seen
• Prescriptions are issued through own internal prescribing system
• You would work alongside the lead clinician, providing continuity of care between appointments
Requirements
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and entry on the GMC Specialist Register (Psychiatry)
• Current or recent consultant-level experience
• Appropriate indemnity for independent practice
• Enhanced DBS
Remuneration is on a sessional basis and can be discussed directly.
