Mentalia Locums is currently recruiting for a Locum Dietitian to join a leading independent mental health provider in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist inpatient setting as part of a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, supporting service users with complex mental health needs and nutritional requirements.
This ongoing contract offers flexibility to work between three and five days per week, with an ASAP start available for the right candidate.

The Role
As a Locum Dietitian, you will:
- Provide specialist nutritional assessments and interventions for service users within inpatient mental health services.
- Develop and review individualised nutritional care plans.
- Work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses and the wider MDT to support holistic care.
- Deliver nutritional education and advice to patients and staff.
- Monitor progress and contribute to recovery-focused treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC and BDA standards.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
- Previous experience within mental health, eating disorders, acute inpatient or rehabilitation settings is desirable.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
- Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
