Mentalia Locums is currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join a specialist inpatient mental health provider in Coventry. This ongoing opportunity offers flexibility to work between three and five days per week, with an ASAP start available.
Working across a range of acute mental health and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) wards, you’ll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused interventions and helping service users regain independence and meaningful engagement in everyday activities.

The Role
As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Undertake occupational therapy assessments and formulate person-centred treatment plans.
- Deliver both individual and group interventions to support recovery and rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, psychiatrists, nursing staff and the wider MDT.
- Support service users in developing daily living skills, social engagement and meaningful occupations.
- Contribute to discharge planning and positive risk management.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC standards.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience within acute mental health, PICU, forensic, rehabilitation or inpatient settings is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
