Locum Psychologists (Band 8a / 8b)
Multiple Part-Time Contracts | Private Mental Health Provider | Secure & Forensic Services
Mentalia Locums is currently recruiting experienced Band 8a and Band 8b HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologists for a number of exciting part-time locum opportunities with a leading private mental health provider delivering specialist psychological services within secure environments.
These are flexible contracts ranging from 1 to 2.5 days per week, making them ideal for psychologists looking to supplement an existing role or portfolio career.
The Role
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs within secure settings.
The caseload includes service users presenting with:
- Severe and enduring mental illness
- Personality and emotional regulation difficulties
- Neurodevelopmental conditions
- Complex forensic mental health presentations
You will contribute to evidence-based interventions, multidisciplinary working and psychologically informed care across secure services.
Requirements
- HCPC Registered Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist
- Band 8a or Band 8b level experience
- Previous experience working within forensic and/or secure mental health services
- Strong assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention skills
- Prison security clearance is highly desirable, although applications from experienced psychologists without current clearance are also welcomed
